Volunteer Opportunities

We are always looking for hard-working volunteers. We are flexible with your schedule and give you a detailed introduction to our organization before we put you to work. Wheelchair Pick-Up: We continue to see an increase in the number of donated wheelchairs to our organization. We accept new and gently used mobility equipment that is in excellent condition and need a few individuals to help us pick it up.
Community Outreach: We are always looking for friendly and outgoing individuals interested in helping with our community outreach efforts. If you like meeting new people and traveling to new locations, this job is for you. Volunteers will visit doctor's offices, nursing homes, churches, and other nonprofit organizations to help spread the word about Alternatives in Motion.
Warehouse Help: We have a large collection of wheelchairs in our warehouse in various stages of repair. We are looking for some mechanically inclined individuals to help make necessary repairs to this equipment.
*Please bring old clothes, as this is sometimes a dirty job. The job also includes heavy lifting.
Office/Clerical: If data entry and office work is more your thing then we have plenty for you to do as well. We maintain an extensive inventory of donors, volunteers, recipients, and wheelchairs that requires frequent attention. Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access is a plus but not required.
