2009 Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon Recap

We have been fortunate enough to be a charity partner with the Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon for the last four years. We play an active role on the marathon planning committee and can't think of a better group of individuals on the planet. These guys get things done and put on THE BEST marathon on the planet!

Each year we come up with new and creative ideas to use this event as a fundraiser for Alternatives in Motion. In addition to selling mile marker sponsorships we also sold finish line flowers to the spectators. This was a big hit with the runners as we sold over 22 dozen roses and raised $668. A special thanks goes out to Gail Ranville, Janet Rininger, Lisa Sisson, and Liz Spieker for coordinating this effort! Be sure to come find us at the finish line next year as well!
